Sunday Stuff…

Hope. – It went great. People received both messages really well. – I spent most of the day sleeping. It's been a pretty "interesting" week for me. – I'll spare you the boring details because it involved Carey being in and out of the hospital again and Mia and I both getting sick. – Mia is doing much better thankfully. – Our … Read More

Thoughts on the Kindle
Well, I got my Kindle from Amazon on Friday evening and I just finished reading my second book on it, so I thought I'd share some preliminary thoughts on it. #1 – The Kindle is great! I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I love it. It's very easy to read on. I was concerned that my ate of reading would #2 – Not every book is available for it, which is a little frustrating, but I'm guessing that publishers will get with it with their back catalog as they are with new titles. #3 – The … Read More
Sunday Stuff…
This is going to be a "different" Sunday Stuff than normal, but here goes… – I didn't teach this morning. – On Wednesday, at my wife's Dr.'s appointment, they found her blood pressure to be higher than they liked and being 36 weeks pregnant, they sent her immediately to the hospital. – So she's been in the hospital since Wednesday. – What makes things a little tricky is that my daughter got a fever last night and so I've been treating her for that and letting her rest at home. – My daughter has never been sick – ever. … Read More
Don’t Stop Growing
Before becoming a Christian, I had only read one book in my life (an unauthorized biography on the life of Madonna – I bet you never pegged me as a material girl). But once I became a Christian at the age of 19, I got an insatiable thirst to grow in my faith. This took place because as a new believer, I didn't know anything about the faith. So I learned everything I could. When I planted Calvary Fellowship in 2000, I didn't know anything about church planting. I know God had called me, but I was totally unprepared for this level … Read More
I Took the Plunge!
Well, I finally ordered the kindle! I hope I like it. If not, I can promise you that it's going right back to Amazon. But I will say this: I just redesigned my entire office to add more bookshelf space and I'm out of space for my books again! It's a little frustrating. So I need the Kindle to work for me, because my next step is to kick myself out of my office and allow the books to completely take over :)
