– Today was insane! I don’t know what the count was, but even the first service felt full! – We turned 7 today! We’re officially a 2nd grader! – I am truly amazed that I get to do what I do. I was watching a guy today at a supermarket that looked depressed at work. I’m so glad that God called me to Pastor this church! – This was a crazy week! Next week should be back to normal! – Made to Stick was a great book! I’ll review it in the next couple of days. – We had hundreds … Read More
Why Do Adults Act Like They’re 5 Years Old?
I was picking up lunch today and the lady in front of me had apparently been waiting for a while, but by the time I walked in she was coming unglued waiting for her soup. She was saying, “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting just for a soup!!! What’s the problem?!” This was a grown woman that probably had kids in their early 20’s. Then the 18 year old waitress says, “I’m so sorry. I will get it for you right now.” As she said that, she gave the woman 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies. Once the woman got … Read More
You Tube
I might be the last guy on the planet to open a You Tube account, but I finally did today so we could post some of the videos we’ve created over the last year. I’ll be posting them as they get uploaded over the next week or so…

Oh Yes! A No-No!!
In the 2nd Major League Start of his career, Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz threw a no-hitter tonight against the Orioles!!! This is exactly the catalyst that the Red Sox needed to take them into the post-season! There was a specific event in 2004 that got the Red Sox firing on all 8 cylinders. It was July 24th when A-Rod got a beat down by Jason Varitek (the picture of Tek hitting A-Rod in the face was my desktop for a long after that) and then coming back and beating the Yankees in the 9th inning sent the Red Sox … Read More
A few Things…
A few things I’m thinking about… – iWork ’08 is rockin! Steve Jobs must have found out everything that drove me crazy about version 2 of Pages because he upgraded about 90% of what I was hoping for. Keynote still makes Powerpoint look like a prototype 🙂 – Is it me or is there no new music that’s any good? The newest stuff I’m listening to was released in the early 90’s. I listened to “The Cars Greatest Hits” on my way in to the office today. I’m becoming one of those people! “Let the good times roll!” – Psych … Read More

If anyone out there is or knows someone who is a php programmer, can you email me @ bob [at] calvarywired [dot] com? We are in need of someone who’s got the skills to pay the bills in php.
No Human Available…
Man, I am having the worst time getting a human being on the phone today! “Thank you for calling. Please listen carefully as our menu options have recently changed…” Give me a break. If there’s a bank that will put a human being on the phone from the get-go, I’ll switch today! Technology is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master… I think I understand what John Conner was going through… It’s the rise of the machines!
Get Your Own!
The the challenge that every generation and person faces if the lure of living our lives out of the past. Instead of encountering our own experience with God, we live off of someone else’s faith, someone else’s stories, and someone else’s relationship with God. I think that church leaders are primarily susceptible to this. Because our history is so rich, we can rely solely of that and not on where God wants to take us next. It’s so easy for this to happen. We start making decisions like this: – “What did they do back then?” – “How would they … Read More
Pleasant Surprises…
My favorite thing in the world is when the door to my office opens and it’s Carey and Mia. We had lunch together. Carey took care of a few things she needed to for this weekend. Mia just made everyone in the office happier with her presence. I love being a dad!!!
