Sunday Thoughts

– Today had to be the weirdest day for me – I woke up at 3:30AM and couldn’t fall back asleep. So I got an early start and worked on my message – Then my dad called me and told me my uncle died. I was closer to him than any of my other uncles. Needless to say, it was a rough morning for me. – The new service times went really well. It worked well to add some people to our first service and open up seats in our later service. – Our band rocked out some Christmas carols. … Read More

Sunday Night Thoughts (Monday Edition)

– Sunday was amazing! I talk another very un-Christmas message and we had a packed house. – I almost called the message, “Satan, the Anti-Christ and You!”, but thought that might be over the top 🙂 – We usually flatline attendance wise for December, but we’re seeing a nice upward trend – Teaching on Hanukkah in part of my message was a lot of fun. I love telling that story. – Tons of first time guests today. Our Ten Minute Party was slammed! We ran out of gifts for people and had to scramble to get more together! – This … Read More

I had the toughest time with the message (I actually wrote 3 when it was all said and done) – Hector did a great job filling in for Mark who was under the weather – The measure of leadership is what happens when you aren’t there. Mark showed today that he’s a fantastic leader! – Teaching with everyone in the church standing on 1 leg while I told them this story was hilarious! – I love our Loaded Questions series! – I am so excited about our Christmas Offering! We raising money for missions and outreach. … Read More

Mediocre Movies

Bob FranquizUncategorized

Carey and I haven’t been to a movie in quite a while (we’re not boycotting, we just have a little girl at home), but we’ve been renting movies over the last month to catch up on what’s come out. I’ve got to tell you, we’ve been disappointed with what we’ve seen lately. Here are my reviews on the movies that everyone in the known world has seen already: 1. Spider-man – Great message. Not so great of a movie. 2. Fantastic 4 – OK, but not fantastic 🙂 3. Live Free or Die Hard – Awesome! I love John McClane. … Read More
