All I will say (before I never speak of this game again) is that the Giants outplayed the Patriots. The Patriots seemed different tonight. There was a lot more talk about destiny, dynasty, and being in an elite class than winning a game. (I will concede that this is all the media asked the Pats about for 2 weeks) Tom Brady didn’t look right. He wasn’t as accurate as he normally is. I think he was more hurt than the team let on. Tom can thread the needle better than anyone (with the possible exception of Dan Marino) and tonight … Read More

Home
I got home last night from being in Tampa/ St. Petersburg for most of the week. We had our Calvary Chapel Southeast Pastors’ Conference which was fun to see some old friends. Then I had a coaching meeting with a group of Pastors that was really good. I love talking nuts and bolts. But my far the best thing was seeing my girls when I got home! The cutest thing was that Mia didn’t want to go to sleep because she didn’t want to leave me. I love that little girl! I hate being away from my family, but we’ll … Read More
Sunday Night Thoughts… (Monday Morning Edition)
– Great Sunday! Great energy in both services! – Attendance was good despite is being a 5 day weekend for some schools. – I loved teaching on the cross today. I’m still thinking about the phrase, “The cross is still saving me” – The band was rockin’ as usual. – I’ve only got one more message left to finish the Gospel of Mark. We started on Easter of last year! – Carey came to the 2nd service because she wasn’t feeling too well in the morning, so I brought Mia with me when I came in. I had my backpack, … Read More

Questions to Prepare for 2008
I am very big on goal setting and planning. So I thought I’d post some of the questions I’m asking myself as we inch closer to 2008. 1. How can I be a better follower of Jesus, husband, dad, and friend in 2008? 2. How can I be a more faithful Pastor and leader in 2008? 3. Where do I want my time to go in 2008? 4. Am I doing things that either need to be delegated or deleted? 5. Am I planning to take a Sabbath every week? 6. How am I going to take care of myself … Read More
