A Digital Steeple

Bob FranquizChurch

I got a call on Wednesday from a reporter from the Miami Herald who was doing a story on how churches are using the internet to share the Gospel. We had a good conversation. What struck me after I got off the phone with him was how important a website is for a church, especially a portable one. When you don’t have a physical brick and mortar presence in the community, you’d better have one on the web. It’s a representation of who you are. We designed a website that tried to communicate our personality as well as have functionality. … Read More

I might be the last guy on the planet to open a You Tube account, but I finally did today so we could post some of the videos we’ve created over the last year. I’ll be posting them as they get uploaded over the next week or so…

Elements Review

And for those that are interested, if you want to buy “elements” in quantity for your small groups (or for early Christmas or Hanukkah gifts), email me and we’ll hook it up.

This is exactly the catalyst that the Red Sox needed to take them into the post-season! There was a specific event in 2004 that got the Red Sox firing on all 8 cylinders. It was July 24th when A-Rod got a beat down by Jason Varitek (the picture of Tek hitting A-Rod in the face was my desktop for a long after that) and then coming back and beating the Yankees in the 9th inning sent the Red Sox … Read More

Book Review: Biblical Church Growth

Bob FranquizBooks

I’ve read several of Gary McIntosh’s books, but I found Biblical Church Growth very interesting. Mostly, because I was raised spiritually in a movement that tends to shy away from anything formulaic and seek to rely on the leading and power of the Holy Spirit. So a book even by this title would get the kind of treatment that the Book of Mormon would get 🙂 However, I found this book to be totally the opposite of my conceived notions. This book has a way of walking the line between recognizing that “useless the Lord builds the house, the laborers … Read More
