Bob FranquizUncategorized

I’d like to thank Mark, our worship/ Youth Pastor for designing our official fan club button. You can download it and wear it with pride. We are still taking fan club memberships (Please note there are no benefits to joining. Only the feeling of being in a cool club – It’s kind of like the Kiss army).

Andy Stanley Fanclub!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

In light of Andy’s recent hilarious remarks about people talking smack about Northpoint, I’ve decided to start the Andy Stanley fan club.  Since I am the only member at this point, I will elect myself the president.   Seriously, I am a huge Andy/ Northpoint fan, and I love the fact that Andy is reading a blog from this obscure guy who’s going to school.  It just rocks!  Membership is free and there are no benefits.  Sign up now!

I’ve Officially joined the Band wagon

Bob FranquizUncategorized

Since Gary and Scott have let us know about what they’re thinking about, I decided to write down what I’m thinking about too and officially join the band wagon.  Why?  Mostly because I don’t want to feel left out… 1.  I need to go to the mall to buy a pair of brown pants 2.  I’m a jerk because my friend Bill’s birthday was yesterday and I didn’t call him3.  Will I ever be able to eat sugar cereal again?4.  I really want to get a hot chocolate at Starbuck’s 5.  Why are there no good movies out?6.  When is … Read More

It’s Raining…Pee!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

No, you didn’t read that wrong! In our office yesterday, our Youth and worship Pastor Mark found that it was raining urine in his office. (Just think about that for a moment) Apparently, the bathroom on the second floor had a pipe break. Anyhow, the leak (No pun intended) has been fixed and everything is OK. I wrote this because no matter how bad of a day you’re having, it’s probably not raining pee in your office. Aren’t you relieved? (Another bad pun) Have a great day!

I just have to know who woke up hearing these song lyrics…

“We’re off to outer space, we’re leaving Mother Earth To save the human race. Our Star Blazers. Searching for a distant star, heading off to Iscandar Leaving all we love behind, who knows what dangers we’ll find? We must be strong and brave, our home we’ve got to save. If we don’t, in just one year, Mother Earth will disappear Fighting with the Gamalons, we won’t stop until we’ve won Then we’ll return, and when we arrive The Earth will survive with our Star Blazers.” Someone please tell me you remember the greatest animated TV show of ALL TIME!!!

Happy Birthday to my Blog!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

Well, it’s official! My 1 month free trial is over and I’m actually paying for this blog now. That means I’ve reached my one month-anniversary! I’d like to say that it has been quite a ride. But honestly, it has been great. Getting to know the people I’ve been able to meet through the blog has been totally worth it. There are a lot of great people who love God doing some great things for the kingdom and I’ve enjoyed learning from them through the posts on their blogs and the comments made on my site. So month 2 here … Read More

I’m Getting old

Bob FranquizUncategorized

I’m 31, but I feel like I’m 50. Why? Because all of the music I like is at least 10 years old. I was scanning through my ipod in my car the other day, and 3/4’s of the music is at least a decade old. Why do I feel that makes me an old timer? Because if something is a decade old I think it’s still pretty new. I was driving with our youth Pastor and I was exposing him to the Gospel Gangstas. This is just good west coast Christian rap from ’96. He told me it was good … Read More

A Special Weekend

Bob FranquizUncategorized

This Sunday was special because it marked 12 years that my wife and I gave our lives to Jesus. Carey and I were just dating at the time and we visited Boston to see my dad and brother. My brother modeled a life that had been changed by God and as we inquired about Jesus and eternal life, my brother Billy shared the Gospel with us and we prayed for Jesus to forgive at the very moment. I had heard the Gospel a bunch of times before, but for Carey it was the very first time she had heard that … Read More
