I just got done reading (Actually listening) to "the Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell.  The book was great.  The book is written for business and marketing leaders but the applications for church leaders are great as well.  What causes some churches to explode with growth and others to stagnate?  How can 2 churches have a similar style of ministry and get totally different results?  The answer according to Gladwell is 3 key issues: context, presentation, and people.   I just finished reading Culture Shift by Wayne Cordiero and Robert Lewis last night.  The book was amazing.  Every church leader should read this.  The book is a journey is discovering what are the values of your church or organization and how to change them if they aren’t where you feel they should be.  They use the experiences of both of their churches (New Hope in Honolulu and Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock) as examples of how their values direct their ministries.  I highly recommend it if you are looking to review your values and even tweak them … Read More
