I had a great time in a meeting and at dinner with Bill LaMorey, who is not only planting a great church in Connecticut, but he’s also one of my best friends.

As a Senior/ Lead Pastor, there are very few people you can really be yourself with. That doesn’t mean you’re fake with everyone else. It’s simply that you can’t confide in everyone. Bill has been one of those people in my life that I can talk to and be real with. I think that I’ve been able to be that for him as well (I think?).

But as a Pastor, you need people like this in your life. So after our meeting was done, we headed over to Houston’s and ordered some ribs and steak and talked about life, ministry, blogging, family, and The Office until they kicked us out at 11PM. It was some of the best time I’ve had in a while.
