– Today was great!
– We concluded our “Go Green” series as I talked about ‘how to live a blessed life’
– We encouraged people to take a step and begin tithing. The response was great!
– I think some of the weirdest thinking in the church is about money. We’ve got to get this right if we’re going to disciple people because stewardship is part of discipleship.
– Hector did a great job leading worship as I sent Mark out to do some reconnaissance work.
– We let the cat out of the bag that we’re moving from the theatre. We’re moving to Barbara Goleman High School on September 28th! I think this is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
– The auditorium holds 1,100 including the balcony. This will allow us to go to 2 services (10AM and 11:30AM)
– We will have all kinds of children’s ministry space which is going to be great
– I’m actually going back to a pulpit when we move. I’ve been using the standard ‘Andy Stanley’ table for years, but I’m going old school 🙂
– Things in the office are absolutely nuts due to the move, but the staff has been amazing
– On an unrelated note: How can I get the garbage men to take my garbage can with the trash? I’ve been trying to throw my garbage can out for 4 months and they won’t take it 🙂
– It’s official: My fantasy football team is horrible! 0-2. It’s not pretty. I’m forming a fantasy cricket league if anyone’s interested? I might have better luck at that 🙂
– Looking forward to a great week!
