Here's a few brief book reviews of some books I've recently read…
Refuel – I'm a big fan of Doug Fields. So I picked up Refuel because I loved the concept of the book. The book was simple, but I was challenged by it. The idea is, we're going to burn out if we don't regularly connect with God. While it's not a formula for having a devotional time with God, he does lay out some practical stuff that was really helpful. Plus, it's a quick read.
The Principle of the Path – This is Andy Stanley's new book. Really good stuff. There's a ton of practical wisdom here. It's the kind of book you read and think, "Why couldn't I have read this book when I was 16?" So buy one for yourself and every 16 year old you know :)
Real Leaders don't Do Powerpoint – This was a great book on communication. I want to continue to grow as a communicator, so I try to read everything I can on communication. This book was really helpful and offered some great insights into better communication.
I've been reading a lot this year. My goal is to read 200 books this year. So far, I'm on track to do it. When my son is born in July I may have to resort to reading books that are 50 pages or less to reach my goal 🙂
