First, let me say that I'm a huge fan of Wayne Cordiero and New Hope. I read Doing Church as a Team several years ago and now it has become required reading for our staff.
Wayne gave a message at the Leadership Summit a few years back called "Dead Leader Running" and it rocked my world. So when I heard that he had written a book that was based on the burnout experience had spoke of in his Summit talk, I pre-ordered it and waited with baited breath for it to arrive.
Needless to say, Leading on Empty didn't disappoint. Wayne outlines why people burnout and the prescription to preventing it. This is a book that every person in ministry should read, especially Senior Pastors.
Do yourself a favor and pick the book up. You'll be glad you did.
