Bill Hybels’ terms and phrases have become common speak in the church. He has made terms like, “Fully devoted follower of Christ”, “Umbrella of mercy” and “The big ask” famous in the world of contemporary church.

So when I saw that Bill had written a book about the phrases that are commonly used around Willow that he has turned into leadership proverbs, I ordered it without hesitation. Needless to say, Axiom did not disappoint!

This book is full of leadership wisdom at any level of an organization. I going to buy a copy for every member of my staff because there just aren’t enough great book on leadership. So when a great one comes out, I want to resource my team.

Here’s a couple of my favorite quotes:

“Leaders rise and fall by the language they use.”

“Vision – a picture of the future that produces passion in people.”

“Lead with a bias towards action.”

“Facts are your friends”

“The more influence your carry, the bigger the target you wear.”

“Admitting your mistakes says something about your basic integrity as a leader.”

“When it comes to your family, the only one fighting for it is you.”

So do yourself a favor and pick this book up right now! You’ll be glad you did.
