Beware of Frankenstein Churches

Bob FranquizLeadership

Most of us know the story of Dr. Frankenstein: he tries to create life in his laboratory and it ends up being a monster. He is 8 feet tall, with yellowish skin, black hair and black lips.

Not the kind of guy you want to meet in an alley.

Here’s the really scary part: a lot of churches remind me of Dr. Frankenstein’s creation. They have different pieces jammed together to look normal, but close up something’s not right.

We’d all agree that there’s a big difference between Dr. Frankenstein’s creation and a baby born into a loving family.

That’s the difference between leaders who were born in Christ at the same church where they became leaders and teams that are simply a collection of “talent” from other ministries.

It may look like a dream team on the outside, but when you get up close, you’ll see the bolts sticking out of his neck.

There’s a better way. It’s the natural way. It’s the way of training up leaders intentionally and releasing them into ministry.

It will cost you much less to hire them and you’ll keep them for much longer. And in today’s struggling economy, we’re looking for the best solutions to raising up leaders in every area of ministry.

That’s why I’m leading a FREE 45-minute webinar this Tuesday and Wednesday (September 13th and 14th) called, “Creating a Leadership Pipeline”. We’ve going to talk about the nuts and bolt of creating a system where you develop leaders at every level.
