I got an email promoting the National New Church Conference in Orlando (By the way, I don’t know if there’s a better place do a conference – that’s the one place in the world that no one can say “There’s nothing to do in this town!”) My wife and I are already planning a Disney excursion to coincide with the conference. We’re Disney freaks that have been to the parks way too many times for our own good. (When you’ve got the monologue to the Norway ride memorized, you’ve been there too many times)

Anyway, I got this email promoting the conference and to my amazement I saw my mug right by some really cool guys (Dave Ferguson and Bill Hybels). It was a cool feeling (these guys are way out of my league, but the association will do me some good). It reminds me of a story about a race horse and a mule…

I’ll be teaching a pre-conference intensive in the subject of being a portable church (and the all the fun stuff that goes along with it!). I’ve gotten some emails from a bunch of you that are coming to it. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of pictures of Mia to work into my presentation.
