Happy Blog-Anniversary!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

I realized today at lunch that I started blogging 2 years ago today! So I decided to bring a cake to the party. I have had my love/hate moments with blogging, but the most important thing to me has been getting to know church leaders from all over the country (and world). That’s has been the most rewarding thing.

May I Introduce you to…

Bob FranquizUncategorized

There’s a couple of blogs that I recently added to my blogroll that you may or may not know about. They’ve got great stuff, so check them out… Bill LaMorey – Bill was our administrator here in Miami until he went to go plant Calvary Fellowship in Hartford, CT. He’s a Yankees fan, but please don’t hold it against him. Actually, feel free to hold it against him! New England belongs to the Red Sox! Period. Anyway, he just started blogging, so give him a warm welcome. He’s one of the funniest guys I know and he’s the only one … Read More

We have a winner to the “Be the 1,000th commenter on my blog” sweepstakes!” Chris Goeppner, youth Pastor at Calvary Chapel Jupiter felt the freedom to cheer the Marlins on my site (Which is normally OK, except they’re playing the Red Sox this weekend). Chris wins a copy of my book “Elements: Starting a Revolution in your World.” Congratulations Chris, and thank you to all who have commented over the last year. Seriously, I’ve gotten to know so many great people who are like-minded for the kingdom through the blogosphere. So I look forward to who I’ll run into in … Read More

How to get your blog posts read

Bob FranquizUncategorized

I was going through my Bloglines and I came to a revelation about posts that I read. Here are 5 thoughts: #1 – Keep it short – The first thing I check when I start reading a post is, “How long is this thing?” If it’s too long, I know the boredom factor is going to set in, so I just don’t read it. #2 – Break it up – Solid text looks like too much effort to read on a screen. Write a couple of sentences and then skip a line and let your idea “Breath.” #3 – Do … Read More

Most of the time we talk about being “Outside the box” with our creativity. Seth has a great post about creativity inside the box. Check it out here…

New Bloggers…Kind of…

Bob FranquizUncategorized

Well, they actually aren’t new bloggers. They are just new to my “cool blogs” section. I need to change that name. Can someone help me with a new name for that section of my blog? Here are a few people I’ve added. I’m sure many of you know about these guys. For the six of you that don’t, then you’re in for a treat. Steve McCoy – Steve is a fellow American Idol lover (that just sounded weird!) and keep me current on all the happenings of Calvinists throughout America. Mark Driscoll – Pastor of a cool church that’s modeling … Read More
