With the exception of House, every show has ended for the summer. So here are my TV season finale thoughts… Criminal Minds – Amazing finale. Tonight’s premiere of 24 – OMG!!!!! Jack is a beast! I was amazed when Jack went Lost Boys on that guy! Dr. Bashir as the pseudo bad guy was a good move. Wayne Palmer as president! Out of hand! The show reminded me why it’s the best show on TV!

I got home this evening and I had a package waiting for me. I had ordered the Schoolhouse Rock! DVD with all 46 songs ever made. It’s awesome! I’m excited to show this DVD to my 7-year old niece! I learned so much with these songs: – Like how a bill becomes a law – How to multiply by 3 – What a conjunction is – The American Revolution – Electricity – The value of zero (My hero) Good times!

I didn’t watch the finale. It’s weird: American Idol is recorded live in LA, but people in LA don’t get to watch it until 3 hours later. Anyone else find that weird? Anyway, I was shocked to learn that Taylor Hicks won! I thought he outperformed Katherine, but I thought she was going to win anyway. And to think that Simon wasn’t going to send Taylor to Hollywood. Chris Daughtry gone! Are you kidding me? I’m sorry, but Chris had the goods. I think this dude can sell records. I thought the Idols did well tonight. My prediction is that Paris will be going home. Taylor surprised me with how well he did. Katherine’s 2nd song was much better than the 1st. I don’t know if Phil Collins was the right choice, but she’s going to be at the finale. Chris was great! Both songs were really good. The first song was better, but both were great. 5 Thoughts about American Idol. Here we go: #1 – Mandisa was one of the best singers in the competition. That she got voted off before Bucky is an insult. #2 – Bucky was in his “Country Zone” and still didn’t sing well. Why you might ask? Because he’s not that good of a singer.
