Had a great meeting this afternoon with Matt Mahaffey, a student Pastor from Indy that wants to plant a church in South Florida. Matt’s a sharp guy with a heart for this area. I’m glad he met with Travis, who’s getting it done in Homestead. Plus, Matt’s coming to the National New Church Conference in April and is going to check out my pre-conference workshop on portable churches.

I love talking shop. I love hanging with guys that are taking steps of faith. I feel like I get built up whenever I’m around guys who want to lay it all on the line and do something great for God. It makes me want to be bolder, riskier, and more faithful to God’s call on my life.

Anyway, I’m excited to see all that God is going to do in Matt’s life in the next 18 months as he gets things going. Matt’s only downfall is that he’s a Colts fan. I didn’t want to break it to him that the Patriots are going to take care of business on Sunday. I thought it would be best if we remained friends 🙂
