Yesterday was Jason’s last day.  He has served in many capacities over the last 5 years, most recently being our children’s Pastor.  Jason, John Solaroli (Another one of our Pastors), and I started this church just over 5 years ago together.  We had no idea what we were doing.  None of us had ever read a book on church planting (to our shame), but God was gracious and we have seen Him work in amazing ways in us and through us.  But it was really weird saying goodbye yesterday.  I felt as though it was the end of an era.  Jason and I have been great friends for over a decade now.  He was the best man at my wedding and I was the best man at his.  But now he is pursuing his dream of writing and is relocating to the Atlanta area after the 1st of the year. 

I know God is going to do great things here and Jason’s replacement is as sharp as a tack!  She is totally qualified and is going to take her ministry areas to a totally new level.  But losing an impact player is never easy. 

Does anyone out there know how I feel?
