I’ve been waiting for the Cuban restaurant near us to open for months and this week they finally did. Carey and I went last night and it was rockin’! Honestly, I don’t remember the last time we had service that was that friendly. We wanted to come back just to see the people we met!

We actually called tonight to see if we could order some take-out and the place was so slammed they weren’t taking any more orders! Needless to say, it was great. This restaurant has a few locations, but as any 305’er would know, all La Carreta’s aren’t created equal. But this one hit it out of the park. The steak was delicious. The chicken was unbelievable. The beans were fantastic. And we got the front spot. A sure sign from God that this was the place to eat 🙂

(By the way, if you live anywhere other than Cuba or South Florida, you’ve probably never had real Cuban food. Any place that serves Cuban and Mexican is doing neither well. Anyway, 1 more reason to come to Miami for a visit.)
