Brand New Resource!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

I'm very excited to announce the release of our newest resource on the www.church-strategies.com site!  It's called, "The Pillars of a Healthy Church". This resource is one that's I've been working on for over a year.  I'm thrilled that's it's finally ready for release and ready to help church leaders.   Here's the description of Pillars of a Healthy Church from the website:  There’s lots of talk about growing a big church, but little talk about growing a healthy church. Truth be told, what determines the size of a congregation in the long term is the health of the church. Just like … Read More

Q and A: Making Membership Matter

Bob FranquizChurch

This question comes in several forms, but it usually boils down to, "Why does membership matter?" More than anything, membership is about 3 things:  1. Letting people know who you are as a church 2. Seeing if they align with where you're headed 3. Establishing a baseline of what it means to be committed at your church Your membership class should deal with these 3 issues in depth and then your membership follow up should be checking to make sure all of your members are fulfilling the covenant you agreed on.   If you don't do these things, them membership … Read More

Sunday Stuff…

– Awesome day at Calvary! – I was out of the pulpit for a month, but it was great to be back.  – I think I'm only out of the pulpit 4 more times before the end of the year. – I taught Ephesians 4:1-6. Talked about the 5 characteristics of a mature walk – We also shared that we are moving from our Miami Lakes campus. The school we meet in doesn't want a church meeting there anymore, so we're moving everyone to our Miramar campus.  – The move was very well received. People are pretty excited about it.  … Read More

Our Most Important Stewardship

Bob FranquizChurch

Most of us think of money when we hear the term stewardship. But stewardship applies to all areas of life and ministry.  I believe that everything changes when we realize that our greatest stewardship is the stewardship of people; specifically, the stewardship of new believers that God adds to the church.   Too often, God brings people to a church and because there's no system or intentionality to follow with those who take significant steps of faith, they fall through the cracks. We need to work hard to make sure no one falls through the cracks. To accomplish this goal it … Read More

500 Million and Counting…

Bob FranquizUncategorized

500 million. that's the number of people that are on Facebook. Facebook recently reaching this milestone and they have no signs of slowing down.  So here's the question: if that many people are on Facebook (which by the way, is greater than the population of the United States) then the people that you want to reach in your community are on Facebook as well. But are you reaching out to them in the places where they hang out?  I believe every church should be on Facebook because that's where people are all the time.  Not only that, Facebook gives you … Read More

Front Load your Week

Bob FranquizLeadership

One of the productivity principles I live by is to front load my week.  That means I try to book as much as possible into the early part of my week so I'm not crammed late in the week.   My goal is to be done with my message by Wednesday afternoon. That gives me time to think it over and make the appropriate changes on Thursday and Friday.   If I started working on the my message on Thursday, there's very little time to make course corrections.  That's why I like getting my meetings out of the way on … Read More
