Sunday Stuff…

Bob FranquizChurch

- Amazing day!     - Great crowds in Miramar and Miami Lakes. - Great to see lots of 1st time guests in both locations!- It's amazing to me how different Miami Lakes and Miramar are. Miramar is looking like more couples in the 30-40's range.  Miami Lakes is tons of singles in their 20's.  - I'm interested to see how this plays out over time. - I taught a message today called, "Help! I've Married the Wrong Person!" from Genesis 29. We talked about Jacob DID marry the wrong person. My favorite part of the message is the AHA moment at the end when ... Read More

Sunday Stuff… (Miramar Launch Edition) Addendum

Bob FranquizChurch

- Just found out that there were actually 160 people at Miramar today! - Also, 8 people made a decision to follow Jesus in Miramar! That's what it's all about! - We had 27 first time decisions for Jesus between both campuses! - To the guys in my new coaching network that starts this Thursday: we're going to put together a strategy that will reach more people in your community than ever this Easter! - I also need to thank everyone who was praying for us. I'm honored that you would take the time to pray for our Miramar launch. I pray the Lord ... Read More

Sunday Stuff… (Miramar Launch Edition)

Bob FranquizChurch

- Today was amazing! Definitely one of the highlights in my 9+ years as Pastor of Calvary Fellowship. - We launched our Miramar campus today with 150+ people!  Thank you Lord! - I'm blown away by God's goodness. We did personal invites, Facebook ads, and direct mail, that's it! - Miramar is a community that has needed a church like ours for a long time. People's receptiveness to a new church like ours shows that there's been a huge need. - Our staff and volunteers were amazing.  They made Everglades High school look like we've been meeting there for a year! (The school was also ... Read More

Your Study Time

Bob FranquizChurch

As a Pastor, the most important thing you do is teach the Word of God to your congregation. Yet our study time doesn't scream for attention. Everyone else is. Staff want to meet with us. People in the church want to talk to us. Other organizations want a few minutes of our time. But Sunday is coming (with amazing regularity). So I encourage you to schedule your study time first and don't break that appointment for anything or anyone.  Emergencies come up, but if it's happening every week it has ceased to be an emergency and now it's routine.  When I decided to ... Digital Evangelism

Bob FranquizUncategorized

On Thursday, March 11th from 1PM-2PM EST, I'm going to lead a brand new tele-seminar called, "Digital Evangelism: Reaching People through the Power of Facebook". We get a lot of questions about how we reach people every week through advertising on Facebook, so we are going to share everything we know about reaching people through Facebook.  Here's what I'm going to over in this nuts and bolts tele-seminar: - The Do's and Don'ts of advertising on Facebook- The 1 thing you must avoid at all cost- How to track your Facebook results and see the return on your investment- Who is the ... Twas the week before we launch a new campus…

Bob FranquizChurch

Someone asked me last week what the biggest challenge has been in launching a new campus. Before I tell you, here's what I thought it was going to be as we went into this: 1. Raising the money2. Having enough volunteers3. Getting buy-in from the congregationHonestly, I found those 3 things easier than I thought. (they weren't a breeze, but they were much easier than I expected). Here was the biggest thing: Making sure we are properly exporting our DNA. I really want both of our campuses to have the same experience. I want the highest level of quality in each location. What I've ... Read More

Strategy vs. Spirit

Bob FranquizChurch

I've noticed something in the church over the years and I want to address it today. There seems to be a bit of a divide between those who think strategically and those who simply 'let the Spirit lead'. In fact, those who claim to allow the Holy Spirit to lead their churches without the need for strategic thinking sometimes call those who lean towards the practical "carnal" and "unspiritual". Honestly, I've heard this since I entered ministry. The message was, "If you want to be spiritual, don't worry about the details." Here's where that became problematic for me: I have an ... Read More
