Our Journey from Reaching Zero to Many…

Bob FranquizUncategorized

During the 1st 18 months of planting Calvary Fellowship, we did not see 1 person decide to follow Jesus at our church.  There were a few re-dedications, but no 1st time decisions.  This led to a bit of a personal crisis because I've always believed that evangelism and discipleship and the name of the game (so to speak).  What God did during this time was show me the importance of reaching out and the need to have a process of discipleship should God send new believers to our church.  Here's what happened: The 1st 18 months zero people decided to follow ... Radically Increase the Number of Volunteers in your church!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

When we started Calvary Fellowship, we had no staff, no building and no money.  I don't believe you need any of those things to see a church flourish.  What you do need is a committed group of people who love God and will do whatever it takes to fulfill the Great Commission. I'm blessed to say that 50% of our church is involved in ministry in some capacity in our church.  So I went into the studio and recorded the 25 most important things we've done that has helped us see 50% of our church involved in ministry. The result ... Read More

- Good Sunday. - Crowd was lighter than Easter (which was to be expected)- Taught Revelation 4:1-11.  Talked about heaven.  - I realized that I haven't taught on the subject of heaven in a long time.  Too long actually.  - Weird moment of the morning was when Mark opened an energy drink backstage and then started to shake it.  It was only a matter of seconds before I was wearing the energy drink.  Good times :) - I wore jeans, a black jacket and a pink button down shirt (Yes, I'm secure in my manhood)- I tell you this because when I ... New Resource: The Cash Crunch!

Bob FranquizUncategorized

Over the last six months, I've probably had 50 conversations about church leaders who need were experiencing a cash crunch in their churches.  Many churches leaders are having to make tough decision and aren't sure what to do during this season.  Plus, leaders want to know how to get out of this crunch. After a few of these conversations, Pastors would say, "I wish I had recorded this conversation so I could give it to a Pastor I know who is experiencing the same thing."  So I decided to take their advice and record what I've been sharing with church leaders ... Some Book Reviews…

Bob FranquizBooks

Here's a few brief book reviews of some books I've recently read...Refuel - I'm a big fan of Doug Fields.  So I picked up Refuel because I loved the concept of the book.  The book was simple, but I was challenged by it.  The idea is, we're going to burn out if we don't regularly connect with God.  While it's not a formula for having a devotional time with God, he does lay out some practical stuff that was really helpful. Plus, it's a quick read.  The Principle of the Path - This is Andy Stanley's new book.  Really good ... Read More

Sunday Stuff…

- Total insanity today!  - Biggest crowd in the history of our church! - Totally amazing to see over 75 people make a decision to follow Jesus - I worked on this message more than any other message in my life.  I believe God blessed my perseverance.  - We did an Easter egg hunt after each service.  Over 10,000 eggs. Tons of kids (don't have a count yet).  But it was awesome.  The mayor of Miami Lakes was our MC.  He's a believer and a really nice guy.  - I can't tell you how proud I am on my staff.  They worked ...
