…The Annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. As a fan of competitive eating, I look forward to seeing men and women stuff their faces with hot dogs every July 4th. This year was a shocker as Kobiashi was defeated by Joey “Jaws” Chestnut as he ate 66 hot dogs and buns. Carey couldn’t believe that I was sitting in front of the TV eating lunch while I watched this battles of wills (and stomachs) take place. – It feels like every week the services on sunday keep going by faster. I mean I get there, the whirlwind of conversations, preaching, praying, meeting, greeting, praying, preaching… and then it’s over.
