4:30AM – I’m wide awake. Mia is sound asleep. But I think it’s Easter that’s got me awake. This is the Superbowl of Sundays! I don’t feel so good…
Yesterday after church my throat started to hurt. By the time I woke up today, I felt terrible and I had no voice to speak of. Thankfully, Monday is my day off, so I have spent the entire day sleeping. To add insult to injury, I woke up just in time to watch the Red Sox get spanked by the Kansas City Royals. Book Review: Echoes of His Presence
Echoes of His Presence by Ray Vander Laan was a great read. Part fiction, part teaching, but all good! Ray creates some stories about first century people to illustrate the passages of Scripture that he wants to highlight. It’s a very effective way to give the reader an understanding about Jewish culture and customs in the first Century. He has great insights into the world of the Bible and gives new light into familiar passages.
