On May 25th 2000, we had our 1st home bible study as a church. That's 10 years ago today!

We officially launched our church in September, but May 25, 2000 was the 1st time we met as a group. It was Carey and I and 5 other people (2 of whom are still at our church. 1 is our Miramar campus Pastor)

I'm in awe of all the Lord has done in these 10 years. 

Zechariah asks the question, "For who has despised the day of small things?" (Zech. 4:10)

We started as small as any church I know of, yet God blessed our church and I'm grateful that He chose to bless us. 

We've seen over 2,500 people come to know Jesus at Calvary in the last 10 years (1,000 of them in the last 18 months). That's a work of God's Spirit in a city that desperately needs the Gospel. 

Here's the part that gets me excited: The best is yet to come! I can't wait to see what happens in the next 10 years!
